Your day lilies are beautiful. Mine haven't sent up bloom stalks yet, bit I am hoping soon. I'll be interested to see how you do in your efforts to leave a smaller 'carbon footprint'. I wish you well.
Beckie, Thanks for the compliment and the encouragement. We love our daylillies, in part because they're so darn pretty and in part because they're just about the only thing in our yard that's blooming right now. You may not be able to tell, but the bloom stalks on some of these are over 4' tall, so they really make a statement!
SHIRL, Thanks for taking a look. My first visitor from Scotland! I forgot to mention (and am just now adding a note on the post) that my husband Rob is responsible for these lovely pictures.
CAROL, I hope to join you on GBBD every month. It forces me to slow down and take a look at what's looking best in the garden...
As a Seattle native, I recently discovered that I was using my location in the Midwest as an excuse for why I couldn't be more sustainable. But I've been here for eight years now and it's time to get my act back into gear make some changes. I'm hoping that writing this blog will help keep me moving toward a more sustainable lifestyle.
